For a long time, I didn’t know if I could write this story.
Some memories felt too tender. Others felt too heavy. But I realized that Afterall wasn’t just my story—it was a story shared by so many who have loved deeply and lost profoundly.
I wrote this book to honor Brian, but also to create connection. To let readers know they are not alone in their grief, their caregiving, or their healing. I wanted to tell the truth—not just about love, but about the cost of loving and the beauty that still remains.
Writing Afterall helped me make sense of the journey we shared and the life I continue to build. My hope is that these words offer comfort, understanding, and perhaps a quiet reminder that love always leaves a lasting imprint.
